MAT Common Courses

General announcements regarding common math courses (MAT 103/E, 104/E) are published via this site. Your instructor may also use Ninova.

The math courses MAT 201/E, 202/E, 210/E, 261/E, 271/E, 281/E are not given by the Department of Mathematics. Questions or requests regarding these courses should be posed to the respective department.

Midterm-1 grades are announced.

MAT Common Courses' 1. Midterm exams will be taken in person on Ayazağa Campus* during the specified time given below. Students can check their exam place one week before the exam from the top right menu after login.
* Exams of sections with DZB building code will be held on Tuzla Campus.

The exams will consist of 20 multiple choice questions. In the calculation of scores, the raw score will be found by subtracting one quarter of the number of wrong answers from the number of correct answers. If this difference is negative, the raw score will be considered zero.

In the exam, identity check will be done by showing a valid identity card, driver's license or passport in addition to the student ID.

Students arriving after the first 30 minutes of the exam will not be admitted to the exam. No student will be allowed to leave the classroom in the first 45 minutes of the exam. Except for emergencies, if a student leaves the classroom for any reason, their answer sheet will be collected and their exam will be deemed to be over.

Students are required to fill in the optical answer sheet truely, completely and in pencil.

No extra paper or calculator will be used in the exam. Cell phones, smart watches, etc. must be kept off during the exam and must not be on the student or at the student's desk.

The exam of the student who does not take the exam of the registered course will be deemed invalid.

If behaviors that do not comply with student stance such as cheating, deception or fraud are detected, the exams of the relevant students will be deemed invalid and they will be processed according to the article 54 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547.

Students, who applied to their own Faculties for a make-up exam, can inquire about their status here. For these students, the grade they will get from the make-up exam will be valid as their exam grade. Make-up exams of students without a Faculty Board decision will not be evaluated.

Students, who do not attend at least one of the in-term exams, are not admitted to the final exam and get VF.
Letter grades are determined according to Senate Guidelines.
